ATM Sounds and Events was founded in Miami by Arturo “Tury” Morejon Jr. and Jovany “Gio” Hernandez. It started as DJ work and grew into full production, because clients kept needing the lighting, the screens and the staging too, and kept getting handed three phone numbers instead of one.

The company is four years old. The people running it are not. Tury and Gio have each been working South Florida events for more than twenty years, and Tury’s father, 2ro, has been working them longer than either of them — he raised them into this business and he is still on the calendar and on site.

Who you actually get

The people who quote a job are the people who show up to build it. There is no sales layer here that hands you off to a crew you have never spoken to, and no account manager who has never seen the room. If you get a quote from Tury, Tury is the one who knows what was promised when the truck arrives.

DJ Tury

Co-founder. Runs production and the technical side of the build — the drawings, the power, the rigging plan — as well as DJing and MCing. He is usually the one who has walked your venue before the day.

DJ Gio

Co-founder. Reads rooms for a living. Twenty-plus years of open format across weddings, quinces, schools and corporate, and the one most likely to be running the floor while the build crew strikes around him.

2ro

Decades of South Florida events, from corporate functions to Miami nightlife. He is the reason the other two are in this business, and he still takes dates.

And the crew behind them

Beyond the three, ATM runs a bench of trained subcontracted DJs, technicians and booth attendants who get first call on our work. In one six-week stretch we covered twenty Broward schools for the YMCA of South Florida, running up to three events a day — that is not something two people can do. It is why we can take a Saturday with four events on it and give each one a crew that knows the gear.
