An awards night is a schedule problem before it is a production problem. There are a fixed number of awards, a room full of people who want dinner, and a hard end time. Everything we build is aimed at getting through the programme without losing the room.
Keeping the programme moving
Walk-up music under each recipient, a screen showing the category and the name, and an MC who keeps the pace are what stop an awards segment from running an hour long. We work from your programme in advance, build the graphics and the cues, and rehearse the stage path so recipients know where to walk and where to stand for the photograph.

The pictures from an awards night get used all year — in newsletters, on social, in next year’s sponsorship deck. That means the stage has to be lit for cameras, not just lit. We light faces from the front rather than relying on coloured wash from above, which is the usual reason awards photos come back unusable.
